The Red Pileated Finch (Coryphospingus cucullatus), also known as the Red-crested Finch, is a species of bird in the Thraupidae family.
It is found in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Ecuador, French Guiana, Guyana, Paraguay, Peru, Suriname, and Uruguay. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry forests, subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, subtropical or tropical dry shrubland, and heavily degraded former forest.
